As a firm with deep roots in the San Francisco Bay Area, SPW has a strong commitment to the betterment of the quality of life in the communities we serve.
Our principals, portfolio managers and team members are actively involved with, and support, a wide range of local institutions and causes, and many of them serve on nonprofit boards of directors, school boards and other community groups. Our firm also frequently contributes its time and expertise to important non-profit institutions, in addition to sponsoring local events and fulfilling our own established philanthropic goals.
We enable the philanthropic giving through the Horizons Foundation and the Schwab Charitable Gift Fund. Our clients give in different ways, and Schwab and other community foundations are viable vehicles for clients to establish their own donor-advised philanthropic funds.
